EDITOR'S REVIEW
OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Color, wipe away, and play again with the Color It Book from Jaq Jaq Bird. Each book comes with eight reusable pages that kids can color with the company's Wishy Washy markers or Butterstix chalks, and you get four Butterstix chalks with each book that are conveniently stored in an attached pouch at the back of the book. Just wipe the pages clean with a damp cloth when you're done.

There are several different Color It Book themes to choose from, including themes featuring famous artists, such as Vincent Van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, Monet, and Edgar Degas. In these books, kids can color in their own versions of the artists' iconic paintings.

But there are non-artist themes, too, such as dinosaurs, Greek mythology, and constellations. Each Color It Book is sold separately.

Is It Fun?

We really like how compact the Color It Book is for travel, making it something you can easily bring with you for a plane ride, a car ride, or a doctor's office waiting room. And, of course, kids can color in it at home, too.

But what also makes the Color It Book stand out from other coloring books is that it's reusable and it comes with Butterstix chalk, which is a zero dust chalk. So that means your kids won't be left with a chalky residue on their hands, which means less mess, especially when coloring out and about.

Who It’s For

Color It Books are a creative activity that will keep kids ages 3 and up entertained at home and on the go.

What To Be Aware Of

You can use traditional chalk on the pages of the Color It Books, but the manufacturer does not recommend sidewalk chalk because it will scratch the surface.
