4D Science Augmented Reality Science Lab Review (Spice Box Books)

4D Science Augmented Reality Science Lab
What It Is

Science comes to life in more ways than one with the 4D Science Augmented Reality Science Lab kit. There are 10 science experiments for kids to complete with this kit, including the classic volcanic eruption experiment and the trendy slime-making activity. Each of the experiments is designed to introduce kids to the scientific concepts of chromatography, static electricity, cohesion, and more.

But while kids are reading the instructions for each experiment, they're wearing hands-free augmented reality goggles so that the animated character Professor Maxwell jumps off the page to guide kids through each step.

To activate the augmented reality features, you'll need to download the free Professor Maxwell's 4D Lab app to your iOS or Android smartphone before starting, and then insert your phone into the goggles.

Is It Fun?

Kids will like that this science kit combines cool augmented reality technology and that the science experiments really aren't that difficult to do. (The experiments are organized in the book with the easiest ones first.) You just need to make sure you have all of the required supplies before you begin. This will be an engaging way to get kids interested in science.

Who It’s For

4D Science Augmented Reality Science Lab is for ages 8 and up. It incorporates a fun tech trend with hands-on science experiments to help make science more interesting for kids.

What To Be Aware Of

The kit includes a 30-page book of experiments, hands-free AR goggles, food coloring, a mini beaker, a measuring spoon, two washers, string, two balloons, a rubber band, white glue, a measuring cup, a paintbrush, a volcano mold, filter paper, a green felt-tip pen, a mirror, a dropper, and baking soda.

Additional items from home, such as salt, scissors, and vinegar, may be required to complete each experiment.
