Looking for a new way to decorate your Easter eggs this year without the mess? The EggMazing Egg Decorator from HeyBuddyHeyPal is a new toy/tool that's changing how you'll decorate eggs from now on. Unlike most egg dyeing kits that require dyes, cups, wire dippers, and, of course, a well covered space to work, the EggMazing Egg Decorator cuts out the mess, clean-up, and stress of egg decorating.
The EggMazing features a built-in egg rotator so, like placing clay and spinning a pottery wheel, all you have to do is place your egg in the holder, turn on the platform, and you' re ready to create. Once the egg is rotating, simply select one of the included 8 non-toxic markers and bring the tip of the marker to any spot on the egg to color.
Hold the marker in place to create stripes. The longer you hold the marker in place the thicker or thinner your strips will be.
Pull the marker in different directions to create spiraling line effects based on where you start and end.
Kids can even get wild and double fist with two markers at once to see what happens.
Overall, we think this is an innovative and fun way to decorate eggs this Easter that also lets kids get a bit more creative with their designs. Parents will also like that they are a lot less messy and time consuming than typical egg dye kits. In fact we'd even say there is repeat play ability here beyond use at Easter time, because it's not a one and done activity kit.
What's also nice about this egg decorating kit, aside from it being mesmerizingly addictive, is that once you turn off the machine, your eggs are instantly dry. No need to place them in holders to let them sit, which is also great for antsy kids that typically don't like to sit still for crafts. Instead, it's instant gratification.
The EggMazing Egg Decorator is for ages 3 and up from HeyBuddyHeyPal. While 3-year-olds still might struggle a bit with their fine motor skill development, luckily this toy doesn't require a lot of dexterity to do; just simply hold the marker to the egg to create work that looks like even an adult did it. Because of this, we also think both parents and kids will like the ability to work independently on their egg creations.
The EggMazing Egg Decorating kit only works with hard boiled Grade A Large or Extra Large eggs. We tested it, as you can see in our video review with both brown and white eggs, and both worked fine. Like regular egg dyeing though, the colors will always appear more vibrant on a white canvas. We also think it may also work with plastic eggs as well, although we did not test that theory.
