Jurassic World Tyrannosaurus Rex & Indoraptor Masks Review (Mattel)

Jurassic World Tyrannosaurus Rex & Indoraptor Masks
What It Is

The Jurassic World Indoraptor and Tyrannosaurus Rex Masks from Mattel are based on the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie, the fifth film in the movie franchise and the latest film in the Jurassic World trilogy picking up where the last film left off. The Tyrannosaurus Rex (aka T-Rex) has long been a dominate presence in the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies with lots of toys to back it up. The Indoraptor, however, is brand new and much like the Indominus Rex that debuted in Jurassic World, this dino is a new hybrid dinosaur and the first male dinosaur in the latest Jurassic World films. The look of this dinosaur is similar to the Indominus Rex, only smaller with some additional features comparable to the velociraptor with red marking around the eyes.

Each of the masks is totally kid-powered for chomping action. Strap it on your head, adjusting the back strap and chin strap as needed. Then move your jaw or simply speak to power the chomping features, to roleplay as your favorite movie dinosaurs, or to scare any unsuspecting friends. The masks also feature cushions around the eyes and nose, although we tested it and you can not wear glasses with these masks.

Is It Fun?

Kids will have fun putting on these dinosaur masks for dress-up and pretend play as their favorite dinosaurs, whether it's classic T-Rex or the new villainous dino, the Indoraptor. And we like that kids power the chomp actions simply with a move of their jaw.

Who It’s For

The Jurassic World Indoraptor and T-Rex Masks are for ages 4 and up. They will appeal to dinosaur fans of all ages but especially kids for pretend play and dress-up, whether or not they are fans of the movies.

What To Be Aware Of

While these masks are age-graded for 4 and up, we think older kids are going to have an easier time with the chomping action. For example, Jenn (featured in this video) had the chin strap adjusted to the tightest setting to do the action. Little kids are likely going to have a harder time.
