Sherpa On Wheels Pet Carrier Review (Worldwise)

Sherpa On Wheels Pet Carrier
What It Is

This Sherpa model has a lot going for it. The carrier exists with all these bells and whistles so you won't have to buy another pet tote again. It is airline approved, fits under most seats comfortably and is super comfy on the inside for your furry traveler.

Why Is It Useful?

This Sherpa carrier is also super useful for you as an owner. The wheels on the bottom are swivel wheels, if you have these on your own personal luggage you already know, it can make turns, stop and rotate seamlessly all without disrupting the traveler. And the handles, both the long pull on the front and the smaller handles on top, are padded for comfortable use. And a cute little flag as a disclaimer to other travelers that you have precious cargo in this bag.

Who It’s For

Even though the On Wheels version says "one size fits all" this carrier is best suited to animals that are 22 pounds or 10 kilograms and under. And seeing as Clawd is a rather hefty cat, I had concerns that he wouldn't be able to fit comfortably in the Sherpa. And to my pleasant surprise, once he crawled inside the wooly, furry inside, he passed out for a couple hours. It was super cute, and it let me know that he was very comfortable and secure in this travel carrier.

What To Be Aware Of

Before using this carrier for travel, we would suggest you leave this bag open in your home a couple days before you leave. It gives your furbaby a chance to sniff it out, get comfortable with it, and trust it before take off. And the Sherpa has openings and zippers on both ends and the top so you are able to choose the way that your animal will take to the bag. I left the front zipper open, and closed all the other ones because I know that Clawd likes to cocoon himself in low and dark spaces. But with dogs, I would imagine leaving the top zipper open would work best. However, since most of the bag is covered in sturdy mesh panels for ventilation, you can use it however you'd like, and it will still be a safe space for your pet.
