OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

What treasures lie in the depths of the Minecraft sea? Find out when you build the LEGO Minecraft The Ocean Monument construction set, model number 21136. With this 1,122-piece set, Minecraft fans get to build a five-inch tall and nine-inch wide Ocean Monument model with a removable roof so that kids can open up the monument to access its interior and search for the treasure chamber full of golden blocks.

Help the Steve and Alex minifigures get past the elder guardian figure that has a spring-loaded shooter, as well as the guardian and squid figures. There is also a water sponge access function and a cave with furnace.

And there are two additional ways to build the set for more building fun.

Accessories include enchanted armor, a sword, a pickaxe, a bucket of milk, wet and dry sponges, a Potion of Water Breathing, and a Potion of Healing.

Is It Fun?

Minecraft fans who also like building with LEGO will have a lot of fun building out this iconic scene and bringing to life some of the fun action features from the game. And with three different ways to build, kids will really like the versatility of this set, which sort of replicates some of the creative building fun of Minecraft.

Who It’s For

The LEGO Minecraft The Ocean Monument construction set is for ages 8 and up, and is really going to appeal to fans of Minecraft who also like building with LEGO.
