OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The classic Radio Flyer wagon gets a sleek upgrade with the Grow With Me Racer, a battery-powered "Radio Flyer red" racecar ride-on that grows with kids through three stages of riding.

For the youngest kids ages 1.5 and up, there's the Parent Mode. The steering wheel is disabled and the car can only be driven by the parent remote control. The remote works with the car from a range of 80 feet and will automatically stop if it gets out of that range.

As kids get older and want to practice driving the ride-on themselves, switch the ride-on to Parent Override Mode. In this mode, kids simply press the button on the steering wheel to go forward, but if needed, a parent can use the remote to steer or stop the vehicle.

And then for the older child, there's Child Driven Mode. Kids press the button to go forward and press the other button to spin the car in the direction the wheel is turned.

The vehicle travels at a maximum speed of two miles per hour, and it does have a seatbelt. The remote can be stored underneath the seat when not in use. It seats one child.

Is It Fun?

This will be a fun way to introduce the youngest kids to battery-powered ride-ons. With its three stages, it helps little kids become comfortable riding in the vehicle and steering and controlling the car on their own. Older kids will like driving it and doing 360-degree spins. And parents will like that it grows with their child and is a fun way to get a kid playing outside.

Who It’s For

The Grow With Me Racer is for ages 1.5 to 4 with a maximum weight limit of 43 pounds. With three stages of play, it's a fun way to get kids playing outside from the toddler to older preschool ages.

What To Be Aware Of
