Shimmer 'n Sparkle Scented Bath Bombs Review (Cra-Z-Art)

Shimmer 'n Sparkle Scented Bath Bombs
What It Is

With the Shimmer 'n Sparkle Scented Bath Bombs kit, you can make up to 15 strawberry-scented bath bombs in more than just the traditional sphere shape. Make butterflies, stars, hearts, and flowers in fun multi-colored designs. The kit comes with almost everything you need, but there are a few tools you'll need from home so that you can mix and measure all the different colors. You'll also need to provide water.

You're basically mixing the included Bath Bombs color mix with baking soda, oil, scent, and water. There are enough ingredients to make five colors, and then you can use the color mixing chart to make more colors.

Once you have all your colors ready, it's time to mold the Bath Bombs. Fill both halves of your chosen mold, press the halves together tightly for a few seconds, open, and carefully remove the Bath Bomb. Let it dry on a drying sheet for 24 hours before touching or using. While you wait, mold another one.

Is It Fun?

Because you can make so many bath bombs at once, this would be a fun playdate or slumber party activity, or one girl might like making them by herself to give away as gifts for her friends. Bath bombs are a hot trend in the activity aisle right now, and kids who think spa days are super cool will like making their own fizzy bath bombs with this kit.

Who It’s For

The Shimmer 'n Sparkle Scented Bath Bombs kit is for ages 8 and up. Kids who are into spa days and DIY craft kits will like making their own fizzy bath bombs with this kit.

What To Be Aware Of

This is a time-consuming process. Allow 45 minutes to prep and mix your ingredients, 40 minutes to mold the bath bombs, and then 24 hours for the bath bombs to dry.

We had trouble getting our bath bombs out of the molds.

Once you mix your Bath Bombs mixture, you have to mold it right away. The mixed mixture cannot be stored.

The kit comes with a 3.85-ounce packet of white Bath Bomb dry ingredients, four 1.3-ounce packets of colored Bath Bomb dry ingredients (pink, blue, purple, yellow), a six-ounce packet of baking soda, 1.25 ounces of canola oil, 0.25 ounces of strawberry essential oil scent, five two-piece molds (sphere, butterfly, star, heart, flower), a measuring cup, five small plastic spoons, and instructions.

You will need to provide water, six mixing bowls of various sizes, five forks, a tablespoon, 1/2 tablespoon, a teaspoon, 1/2 teaspoon, 1/4 teaspoon, a timer, and a tray.

This is a very popular toy in our Arts, Crafts & Activities Toys category.
