HALO Master Chief Tactical Helmet Review (Mattel)

HALO Master Chief Tactical Helmet
What It Is

Take your HALO roleplay or video game play to the next level with the HALO Master Chief Tactical Helmet. Based on the Mjolnir Mark VI Armor Helmet, this plays more than 15 sounds, phrases, and music to bring the video game experience to life. Just tap the button on the side for sounds, press it for phrases, or press and hold it for music. There is an adjustable elastic strap in the back and the yellow tinted visor can be removed.

You can also use this with an Xbox Chat Headset, sold separately, or mount a camera to the front so you can record your missions. A camera and mount are sold separately.

Is It Fun?

This toy helmet has a very cool look, and with the different sound effects and phrases, it does a good job of transporting kids into the world of HALO so they can roleplay their own battles and make up their own stories. But the helmet's functionality with a camera and headset also make it appeal to slightly older HALO fans who might want to wear it as a cool accessory while playing the video game.

Who It’s For

The HALO Master Chief Tactical Helmet is for ages 8 and up. It will be fun for kids who are familiar with the HALO video games and who want to roleplay their own version of the battles in the games, but because you can use it with a camera and headset, it might also be something that teens or adults want to wear while playing the actual video game.

What To Be Aware Of

This comes with three button cell batteries for the in-store try-me features, so it's recommended that you replace them before you play for best results.
