Crate Creatures Sizzle Review (MGA Entertainment)

Crate Creatures Sizzle
What It Is

When it comes to Crate Creatures, you've got to free the beast to have some fun. What's inside each crate? A furry little creature with more than 45 creature sounds and effects. As of this review, there are two monsters in the lineup, including Sizzle, a dragon from the volcanoes of Crunchland. You can sort of see what the dragon looks like inside the crate. There's even a "pull my tongue" (or rather, "do not pull my tongue" feature) on the packaging, but you'll have to use the included plastic crowbar to break open the crate and set your dragon loose.

Once the dragon is free, there are several ways to play with it. Pull its tongue and watch it shake and make funny noises as its eyes glow. If you speak to it, it will repeat what you say in its creature voice. Turn the dragon upside down or shake it for even more funny sounds. Squeeze its tail to make its wings flap. And Sizzle comes with a marshmallow accessory that you can feed it to hear chomping sounds.

The best part? You can put the creature back in its crate and unleash it over and over.

Is It Fun?

This is a combination of unboxing meets an interactive toy pet meets gross-out humor. It is very silly for sure, and it perfectly captures the sense of humor of little boys. Kids are really going to like freeing their creature from the crate and seeing all the silly things they can make it do. And they'll really like that they can unbox them again and again.

Who It’s For

Crate Creatures Sizzle is for ages 4 and up. This will offer silly fun for boys who like monsters, unboxing, and fart sound effects.

What To Be Aware Of

The toy comes with three AA batteries, but those power the in-store try-me features, so you'll probably want to replace them before you play for best results.

Crate Creatures Blizz is sold separately.
