OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Take your love of Radio Controlled Cars to the next level with virtual reality. New Bright's Dash Cam Virtual Reality Radio Controlled Jeep is not your typical RC car, nope this Jeep uses a mobile app, which can be downloaded for free from the apps store or Google play, along with a VR headset to put you in the driver seat. So it works by using the app to connect your phone via wifi to the Jeep. Once the Jeep is connected, the front lights light up and allow you to control the Jeep using your phone as the controller, which you can also record photos or video. Also, you can switch the Jeep into VR mode. Once in VR mode, slide your mobile device into the VR headset and your ready to explore the world in a whole new way. The Jeep also comes with a lithium ion battery, charger (it charges in just over an hour) as well as a controller and VR headset. It requires 2 AA batteries, but the good news is that all batteries are included. The run time of the Jeep is about 12 minutes. Also, the Jeep is a fully functioning RC car and is 1:14 scale of a real Jeep Wrangler.

Is It Fun?

This RC Jeep is definitely fun and hard to put down once you've mastered its controls. Plus, it comes with a camera that you can tilt up or down to get a better viewing experience. With multiple ways to control the Jeep, this toy is one you'll have a hard time putting down once you've master the VR experience.

Who It’s For

New Bright's Dash Cam Virtual Reality Radio Controlled Jeep is recommended for ages 8 and up. We recommend it for those who already love to play with RC cars and are familiar with VR, and don't mind wearing a headset, since there is a learning curve to this Jeep.

What To Be Aware Of

There is a learning curve to the sensitive RC controller as well as with the VR headset. If you choose to use the app on your mobile device, play and control of the Jeep is typically easier to grasp. Also, the headbands for the VR headset can be cumbersome and it doesn't fit well if you wear glasses. Plus, the wifi is a bit tricky to keep connected, especially if you hit any buttons on the controller.
