OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

In the Disney/Pixar movie Coco, Miguel's pet and faithful companion is his dog Dante. Based on the Xolo or Mexican hairless dog, Dante is a silly dog who is always up for an adventure, and kids can bring this animal to life in a very colorful version with the Disney/Pixar Coco Dante Alebrije Plush. This toy is based on the Mexican folk art tradition of alebrije, which are small wooden figurines that represent mythical animal mashups. They are also very colorful.

Just like the regular Dante character, this plush version has a long tongue hanging from its mouth and floppy ears. But because it's an alebrije, the tongue is blue and the ears are blue, green, and purple. Plus, this Dante has two brightly colored and patterned fabric wings.

Is It Fun?

Kids who liked watching the silly antics of Dante in the movie will like bringing the dog to life through this very colorful toy version of Dante. The stuffed animal is soft, which means it will be perfect for lots of hugs, and kids will also enjoy making up their own adventures to go on with Dante.

Who It’s For

This stuffed animal is not age-graded, but we think it's appropriate for kids ages 3 and up who are fans of the new movie and the character of Dante in particular.

What To Be Aware Of

Additional Coco plush toys include Pepita, Dante, Hector, and Miguel, and each is sold separately. All of these are exclusive to The Disney Store.
