LEGO Duplo Family House Review (LEGO)

LEGO Duplo Family House
What It Is

Preschoolers can build and play out real-life scenarios with the LEGO Duplo Family House construction set. It comes with 69 pieces for kids to play out easy-to-recognize activities from their own worlds, such as getting up in the morning, eating a meal, and washing a car.

The set comes with three LEGO Duplo figures of a mom, dad, and child. Plus, there are bricks decorated as a mirror, toilet paper, alarm clock, oven, and a teddy bear. And accessory elements include a car, a cooking pot, a plate, baguettes, a jug, a cup, a brush, and flowers.

Use the rest of the bricks to build a modular house with more than three levels. There's a kitchen with opening oven; a bathroom with toilet, a sink, and opening mirror cabinet; a bedroom with two beds; a child's room with opening dormer windows; and a dining area.

Is It Fun?

This is a fun beginner LEGO set for preschoolers, and with the different ways to build the house, it will engage kids in creative building play. The decorated bricks are great story starters to help spark kids' imaginations as they embark on all sorts of roleplay with this set, from helping the dad wash the car to baking baguettes in the kitchen. And when parents participate in the play, it can also serve as a way to reinforce daily routines. But mostly, it's all about creative play.

Who It’s For
