Who knew that a decorative novelty item from the 1960s could actually have a lot of science behind it? With the Discovery Glowing Bubble Light, kids get to experiment with making their own bubble lights, kind of like those groovy Lava Lamps. This one, however, is just a mixture of water and oil, plus a few other ingredients, depending on the experiment you're doing. The kit comes with the Glowing Bubble Light Jar with LED light and three fizzing tablets, but you'll need to provide everything else.
There are seven different experiments, all designed to introduce kids to liquid density. A fold-out poster has different fun facts about related scientific concepts.
Kids will like seeing what happens when they mix the different ingredients inside the Glowing Bubble Light Jar, especially when the light is turned on. From making colorful bubbles to causing volcanic eruptions, this is going to be a hands-on way to make science fun. And because it uses ingredients you probably already have at home (salt, baking soda, vinegar, etc.), the experiments can be done over and over again.
The Discovery Glowing Bubble Light is for ages 12 and up. This will be a hands-on way to make science fun.
You will need three AAA batteries, which are not included.
The kit also requires water and mineral or vegetable oil, plus other ingredients for additional experiments.
