A stroller for babies and a drift trike for kids. It's all in one plus more with the 4-in-1 Stroll & Grow Tek Trike. It goes from stroller to training trike to tricycle to drifting trike.
The first mode is the stroller mode, and it's for babies ages 9 months to 18 months. All of the features are attached in this mode, but the ones important for use in this mode are the height-adjustable push handle and storage bin for parents, the back swivel wheels to make steering easier for parents, the sun canopy, the three-point safety harness, the wrap-around safety bar with two cup holders, the handlebars, and the footrests.
There is also an interactive panel with four settings to keep kids engaged as they ride. For babies in this stage, you'll use stage 1 on the panel. Babies will hear different sound effects when they press the horn button, move the gear shift, and turn the ignition switch. Melodies and songs will play when babies press the melody or sing-along buttons. And babies will hear different phrases when they press the four roleplay buttons or the location buttons.
The second mode is the training trike mode. In this mode, you move the seat forward, remove the wraparound safety bar, remove the footrest, and unlock the pedals. Now kids can pedal along as parents continue to push the Tek Trike, which allows kids to practice pedaling while still keeping parents in control. This mode is for ages 18 months to 24 months.
For the third mode, you transform the Tek Trike into a tricycle by moving the seat backward, removing the canopy and seatback, locking the pedals so that they control the movement of the handlebars, unlocking the handlebars, removing the parent push handle, locking the back swivel wheels, and removing the three-point safety harness from the seat. This mode is for ages 2 to 4.
And for kids ages 4 to 6, you can turn the tricycle into a drift trike by moving the seat all the way back and unlocking the back swivel wheels.
In the second, third, and fourth modes, kids can continue to play with the interactive panel by pressing the buttons and hearing phrases, songs, and sounds. Just switch the stages on the panel to two, three, and four, accordingly. And when a song plays, kids can control the speed of the song by pedaling faster or slower.
This is a great grow-with-me product that makes it fun for little kids to get outside and get active, whether they're a toddler just sitting and pressing buttons on the panel or they're a Kindergartener doing cool drifts on their own three-wheeler. The multi-functionality ensures that both parents and kids will be able to use this for a long time. The transitions between modes are very easy to do.
This is a nice way to introduce kids to riding a tricycle, but it doesn't fold up and steering isn't as smooth as we would have liked, so as a stroller, you'll probably just want to use it for walks around the neighborhood.
The 4-in-1 Stroll & Grow Tek Trike is for ages 9 months to 6 years. It has a maximum weight limit of 56 pounds.
It took us one hour to assemble the product in the stroll mode, and the instructions were fairly easy to follow.
Two AA batteries are included for the in-store try-me features, so it's recommended that you replace them before you play for best results.
The interactive panel does have volume control.
