Star Wars: The Last Jedi Deluxe Figurine Set Review (shopDisney)

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Deluxe Figurine Set
What It Is

Force Friday is nearly here, and an interesting item that's come out of Disney's ownership of Lucasfilm is this set of deluxe figurines that are only available at the Disney Store. Disney has produced several sets like this one for previous Star Wars films.

At first glance, they don't seem that special because they're versions of 3 3/4-inch figures that you've likely seen in Hasbro's line, but they have no articulation and are, essentially glorified PVC figures. But because they're intricately detailed, they come posed and you can collect many characters at a reasonable price, they've become fan favorites.

The ten figurines included are a mix of Resistance and First Order Characters, including Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Luke Skywalker, a Praetorian Guard, Rose (the Resistance Tech), Supreme Leader Snoke, Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma and a First Order Executioner. Interestingly, Finn is wearing a First Order military uniform.

The packaging itself is a plastic dome that lets you see all ten figurines, offering an unrestricted view from the top, along with a planet backdrop.

Is It Fun?
These aren't really intended for kid's play, but kids can have fun with them as imaginative play toys. Collectors will love them, however, especially collectors who make dioramas or like having good looking character sculpts on their shelves or desk.
Who It’s For

While this set is age graded for 3 and up, due to the limited play value, it's really intended for collectors who want to keep them packaged - that's how I have my set from The Force Awakens - or to use them in dioramas due to their excellent poses.

What To Be Aware Of
While these look like traditional 3 3/4-inch Star Wars figures, they don't move and have limited play value compared to other figures.
