2017 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar Review (LEGO)

2017 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar
What It Is

Get ready to celebrate another holiday season with the LEGO Friends through the 2017 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar. Every year LEGO comes out with Advent Calendars to help LEGO fans count down the 25 days to Christmas and add to their LEGO collections with fun minifigures, accessories, and small builds.

If you're not familiar with Advent Calendars, here's how it works. There are 24 numbered punch-out doors, denoting the 24 days leading up to Christmas. So on December 1, you'd punch open the number 1 door to reveal a different LEGO Friends set. Do the same with the number 2 door on December 2, and so on.

The picture on the back of each door shows you what the finished set will look like, so you can use that to help you build. Then, display your finished builds on the calendar's play mat.

You'll be able to see some of the sets right on the package, such as a mini campfire for toasting marshmallows, a snowmobile, a Stephanie minifigure, and a Christmas tree. But each day of opening a door is meant to be a surprise.

Is It Fun?

Advent Calendars are traditionally about giving kids small toys or candy as they count down to Christmas, but this Advent Calendar makes it easy to provide kids with a little something each day, especially for kids who are LEG0 Friends fans. (And best of all for parents, no candy!) Kids will like the surprise of opening each door to see what set they're getting, and even though they're all holiday-themed sets, kids can still play with them even after the holiday season is over. This is a fun and buildable countdown to Christmas for LEGO Friends fans.

Who It’s For

The 2017 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar is for ages 512. It's going to be a fun way for LEGO Friends fans who celebrate Christmas to count down to the holiday and add some exclusive themed sets to their LEGO Friends collections.

What To Be Aware Of

This comes with 217 pieces. The sets in the calendar are small and easy to assemble. There are pictures of the finished builds on the back of each door.
