Shark Bite Review (Pressman)

Shark Bite
What It Is

Shark Bite from Pressman is a 2-4 player game for kids ages 4 years old and up. Players take turns rolling a die and fishing for the sea creatures out of the shark's mouth. But watch out because the shark may bite. To get started, open the shark's jaws, and place the colorful, plastic sea creatures into the holes at the bottom. Then players take turns by rolling a die and using their fishing rod to fish for the number of sea creatures on the die - one or two. Once they get their fish, it's the next player's turn. They must hurry though because the shark may bite at any moment and once he snaps his jaws shut, the game is over. The player with the most sea creatures wins. The game includes one shark, 12 colorful sea creatures, two fishing rods, one die, one sticker sheet, and easy-to-follow instructions.

Is It Fun?

Shark Bite is a fun preschool game with easy to follow instructions. We found the game play both fun, and quick to pick up. It takes a while for the shark to bite but the anticipation is all part of the fun.

Who It’s For

Shark Bite is for 2-4 players ages 4 years old and up. It would be fun to play with friends or family members.

What To Be Aware Of

The game includes two fishing rods so if more than two people play, players will have to share. The stickers are to be applied on the die before starting the game. The die indicates how many sea creatures to fish for. We found that in most cases, it took a while for the shark to bite. We were almost done playing when the shark bit so players should be patient.
