Kuu Kuu Harajuku G Review (Mattel)

Kuu Kuu Harajuku G
What It Is

Kuu Kuu Harajuku G is a new character doll from Mattel, based on the pop-music Harajuku-inspired animated series, Kuu Kuu Harajuku, that airs on Nick Jr. (created by Gwen Stefani). G is is a member of the pop band HJ5 in the animated series. Voiced by Maggie Chretien, G is considered the leader of the group. She wears her signature colors aqua, white, and black topped off with a big bow.

Harajuku is all about accessorizing and layering to make a look your own, so G also comes with snap-on bling accessories to attach to the doll as well as a wear-and-share clip-on bow so kids can match their favorite character.

Is It Fun?

We like how these kawaii dolls show off the fashionable colors and symbols that represent the HJ5 girls, while also tapping into the fashions that make up the classic harajuku looks-pairing school girl uniforms with a dash of decora. Overall these are some fun new fashion dolls for young fans of the show and of the fashions to play with and stylize. For fans especially they are sure to inspire lots of fashion-fueled play and reimagined storylines from the show.

Who It’s For

This Kuu Kuu Harajuku G doll is for ages 5 and up. It will appeal to fans of the show's character as well as those that enjoy classic fashion doll and hair play.
