OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Meet the Fingerlings from WowWee--adorable pet monkeys that are super silly, super fun virtual pets. Designed to fit on a finger, these adorable pets are all about interaction and play as kids bring them to life by touching, petting, blowing kisses and more. There are six in all to collect. We like these for the simplicity of the play, the elegance of the technology and the classic fun of interacting with them. Best of all, they're not over-engineered. They're designed to interact as you wear them on a finger, and they do that very well. The secret to bringing your Fingerlings to life are in the various sensors and the microphone integrated into the toy. Blow kisses, and your Fingerlings will respond. Clap, and it will monkey around. Tap, stroke or hold the sensors on the head for different responses. And then, since this is a monkey after all, let it swing from it's tail for all kinds of silly sound effects. After you're done playing, you can cradle your Fingerlings to put it to sleep, or wait 5 minutes, and it will enter sleep mode automatically. There really isn't that much more to this, and that's one of the reasons this is so appealing. It's simple, engaging and interactive fun, and don't be surprised if kids everywhere are going to want one, or more, of these.

Is It Fun?
The fun is all in the interaction as kids collect and play with these little critters. They're a great value and surprisingly sophisticated for their price. They make a great alternative to other more expensive interactive pets, delivering a lot of play.
