FurReal Roarin' Tyler The Playful Tiger Review (Hasbro)

FurReal Roarin' Tyler The Playful Tiger
What It Is

Roarin' Tyler, My Playful Tiger is the newest edition to Hasbro's line of FurReal exotic pets. Roarin' Tiger is, as his name says, a playful baby tiger with interactive features and sound effects that kids can trigger and activate by petting one of his sensors. Give him a back rub or rub his head or muzzle to hear and see one of more than 100 sounds and motion combinations.

Tyler features big wide eyes and moving ears and tail that wiggle about as you interact with him. He'll also playfully pounce, nuzzle, and twist his head. Roar at Tyler and he'll roar right back at you.

Give Tyler his favorite chew toy, a rubber chicken, and he'll nosh on it like he's eating.

Is It Fun?

For kids that always dreamed of having their own exotic pet tiger, Tyler is an adorable option--and a good compromise for parents. Tyler offers lots of opportunities for imaginative and nurturing pet play.

Who It’s For

The FurReal Roarin' Tyler, My Playful Tiger is for ages 4 and up. Tyler is a big-ticket gift item (thanks to its price) that will appeal to kids that like pet play, pretend play, and toys that featuring engaging interactive features. It will also appeal to fans of the overall FurReal toy line, looking for new pets to add to their collections.

What To Be Aware Of

Tyler come at a very steep price at well over $100, and in comparison to some of the other exotic pets we've seen in the past (last year's Torch my Blazin' Dragon started at about $80 and blew fake flames) we aren't sure if the price meets the level of tech and interactive features being included in this model. Don't get us wrong Tyler is a cutie, but that price is something parents and gift givers will certainly have to weight into their decision.

Tyler also requires 4 C batteries to operate which are not included.
