Animal Adventures Ark Review (VTech)

Animal Adventures Ark
What It Is

The animals are setting sail for learning fun on the Animal Adventures Ark. This playset has lights, sounds, and eight cute wobbling animals: a zebra, a monkey, a bird, an alligator, a giraffe, a bear, a hippo, and a tiger.

Press the four light-up buttons to hear phrases about weather and colors, plus music and sounds. Drop the animals into the counting tunnel and the ark will count them. Press down on the deck platform to open the ark's trap door and hear fun sounds.

There are also two spaces on the ark for two animals to sit and wobble as kids push or pull the ark along. And as kids do that, they'll activate the ark's motion sensor and hear a song play. More fun sounds will play on top of the song as kids continue to push or pull the ark.

And the ark has a spinning star, a spinning steering wheel, two spinning gears, and a peek-a-boo window.

The pull cord can be stored away underneath the battery compartment when not in use. All of the animals can be stored inside the ark when playtime is over.

Is It Fun?

This is a cute little playset for young animal lovers. They'll have fun driving the boat, pressing the buttons, and creating different stories for the animals. While there is some play that introduces kids to weather concepts and colors, a lot of the play is really about helping them develop motor skills and encourage creative play.

Who It’s For

The Animal Adventures Ark is for ages 12 to 36 months. Little kids who like animals will have fun playing with the cute animal figures on this toy and engaging with all of the interactive features.

What To Be Aware Of

It comes with three AAA batteries, but those power the in-store try-me features, so you'll probably want to replace them before you play for best results.
