Mongoose Force 3.0 Folding Scooter Review (Pacific Cycle)

Mongoose Force 3.0 Folding Scooter
What It Is

If you're a busy kid on the go, then let the Mongoose Force 3.0 Folding Scooter take you where you need to be. Because it folds up for compact storage and transport, it fits in a school locker or under a bus seat. Other features include a full-coverage MaxGrip on the alloy deck and steel brake over the back wheel. That means that grip tape covers the entire deck and brake for a non-slip ride. The scooter has 142 mm wheels and durable ABEC-7 bearings for a smooth ride. Adjust the height of the handlebars without the need for tools. It has three different lock-in points to fit a wide range of riders. And the handlebar grips resemble those you would find on a bike. It even has a bike-style kickstand.

Is It Fun?

This scooter is going to take kids all over the place. And because it has such a heavy-duty steel frame and adjustable handlebars, it might even take mom or dad all over the place. We think this is a scooter that can grow with kids, from younger kids who are just looking to scooter around the neighborhood to city teens on their way to school or adults on their way to work. The compact fold is a nice feature, but we wish it was easier to do, especially for the younger riders.

Who It’s For

The Mongoose Force 3.0 Folding Scooter is for ages 8 and up. It has a maximum weight limit of 220 pounds.

Kids who like riding scooters will like the look of this one, and it will also be a fun ride for teens and adults.

What To Be Aware Of

We like the folding feature of this, but it's difficult to do and a kid might need help from an adult. The only way we could push in the spring release button was by stepping on it.

This scooter is available exclusively at Target.

Kids should always wear a helmet when riding this scooter.
