LeapStart Learn to Read Volume 1 Review (VTech)

LeapStart Learn to Read Volume 1
What It Is

Expand your child's learning and play with the new LeapStart Learn to Read Volume 1. Designed to work with all LeapStart systems, it comes with six interactive storybooks that encourage kids to touch pictures, letters, and words to build early reading skills, including short and long vowel sounds.

At the beginning of each book, you'll find a Words In This Story section that introduces beginner readers to the words they will find in the story. With the LeapStart stylus, kids can tap on the words, to hear them said aloud.

Kids will also be able to hear the story read out loud to them, and they can tap on the Say It, Sound It, or Spell It icons on each page to hear the word, listen to it sounded out, or have it spelled out to hear letter names.

And each book also has a few activities that kids can play to reinforce their understanding of the story and further develop their reading skills.

Is It Fun?

This six-book set is a great way to expand the learning and play with a LeapStart. It's so much more than just listening to books. It encourages kids to explore as they tap the stylus on pictures, words, and letters, and then there are games to play once the story has been read. All six of these stories have colorful pictures with interactive pages that will keep kids engaged in the reading and play.

Who It’s For

All of the books in this set are for kids ages 4 to 7, or for kids in the Kindergarten age range.
