It's a race to learn with the Disney/Pixar Cars 3 Race & Learn Tablet. Featuring Lightning McQueen and other characters from the Cars 3 movie, this toy tablet has seven interactive activities to help preschoolers with logic, letters, spelling, and counting. And as kids play, they'll watch black-and-white animations of the Cars characters on the three-inch LCD screen.
Turn on the tablet and press one of the seven activity buttons to select an activity. In Ready, Set, Letters!, kids press the 26 letter buttons to hear phrases about letters, objects, and some of their favorite characters.
In Prepare for the Race, Lightning McQueen needs different objects for the Crazy 8 race, and kids must find the first letter of the object to help Lightning McQueen. Kids can either use the letter buttons or the arrow buttons to select a letter.
In Fix the Sign, kids find the letter that completes the word on the sign. They can either press the correct letter button or use the arrow buttons to choose a letter.
Garage Clean-Up is a counting game. Kids count and select the number of objects on the screen to help Lightning McQueen tidy up Doc Hudson's garage.
Kids practice sequencing and counting in Sort the Tires. Use the arrow buttons to choose the tire that completes the number sequence to help Lightning McQueen get new tires during a race.
In Race Time, kids select a character to race, and then spell the words displayed on the screen by typing the letters as fast as they can. Each time a correct letter is pressed, the racer will pass another car to get closer to that first place finish.
And in Car Spotter, kids use visual skills to identify a Cars 3 character. Watch carefully as the character drives by, then select which character it was using the three character buttons or the arrow buttons.
Along with the activity buttons and letter buttons, there are also three character buttons for Lightning McQueen, Cruz Ramirez, and Jackson Storm. Press these buttons at any time during play to hear more about Lightning McQueen and his friends.
This is going to be fun for young kids who are Cars fans because there are several fun activities to play and they all offer interaction with favorite Cars movie characters. Plus, it's like giving preschoolers their very own tablet. Sure, it doesn't look exactly like the high-tech tablets that mom or dad have, but it does have cool Cars 3 graphics and it's easy for little kids to bring with them to play on the go. This is a nice age-appropriate tablet-esque experience that also offers some educational benefits through the play.
The Disney/Pixar Cars 3 Race & Learn Tablet is for ages 3 to 6. Because it's Cars 3-branded, it will primarily appeal to kids who are Cars fans.
This toy tablet comes with two AA batteries for the in-store try-me features. We recommend replacing the batteries before you play for best results.
You can control a few of the tablet's settings, such as screen contrast, volume, and background music.
