OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The Vex Robotics Crossfire Airplane Launcher, from Hexbug, comes with 135+ pieces and is recommended for ages 14-18. On a difficulty scale of 1-to-5, Hexbug gives it a 3. It will take 30-to-40 minutes to build. There are a total of 6 customizable planes. The front hook will catch the large rubber band. Pull it backwards and connect the back rods into the trigger. Then, simply pump the handle and watch your plane fly. The Crossfire Airplane can travel over 30 feet and its rubber nose will protect it from rough impact. This is a STEM-based construction kit which promotes basic engineering skills through the process of simple, snap-together assembly.
