OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Here's something ingenious, interactive and tons of fun for toddlers. It's the Pop-A-Balls Push and Pop Bulldozer from VTech. Designed for kids ages 1 and up, this adorable bulldozer combines classic interactive play with silly fun that will keep kids active and having a blast as they race all over the house.

It's really very simple. Toddlers drop the colored balls into the cab of the bulldozer, then push it along. The balls pop out of the smokestack, are caught by the scoop and popped back into the cab as kids push the bulldozer across the floor. The bulldozer counts up to four as the balls pop out, and there are buttons on the side kids can press and interact with. There are also more than 75 sounds, phrases and songs to entertain them as they play. For floor play, you can manually pop the balls out of the smokestack by flipping the hubcap on the front wheel.

There are spaces on the handle for three of the balls so they won't get lost when playtime is done, and there is a volume control which is great for when kids may be sitting closer to the speaker.

Is It Fun?

Besides how absolutely cute and fun this is, we really like this for the way it encourages kids to be active, and helps develop both fine and gross motor skills. Depending on how aggressively kids push the bulldozer, the balls may fly around the room a bit. No worries. They'll enjoy chasing them and putting them back in the bulldozer. It's all part of the silly fun.

This is a fresh, new take on classic toddler play, with a savvy combination of activity, exploration and fun engagement.

Who It’s For
This toy is designed for kids from 1-3 years. However, we think it will appeal most to kids at the younger end of that range. Toddlers especially will like the action, sounds and the wealth of different things for them to explore and manipulate.
What To Be Aware Of

The toys has a volume control which is great for when kids may be sitting closer to the speaker.
