Get ready for egg-citing egg-venture with the Hatchimals Colleggtibles The Eggventure Game. This is a matching game where players must collect all the egg tokens that match the Hatchimals on their egg cards. The first player to do so wins.
Before you play, you'll need to hatch the mystery Colleggtible. To do this, hold the egg in your hands and rub the heart until it changes from purple to pink. Then, press in with your thumb to crack the egg and remove the top. Now you have a Hatchimal Colleggtible to add to the other three Hatchimals for playing the game.
All Hatchimals begin in the cloud start space, and each player gets five cards. All of the egg tokens are placed face-down in the tree on the game board.
Take turns rolling the die, moving that number of spaces around the board, and doing whatever the space you land on directs you to do. For instance, if you land on one of the nine nest spaces, labeled "farm", "garden", "jungle", and so on, then you get to turn over a corresponding egg token on the tree. If it matches a character in your hand, remove the token and place it and your card face up in front of you. If it's not a match, flip it back over on the board. You don't have to land on a nest space by exact count. You can stop on one if you're passing it during your turn.
If you land on a heart, you get to take another turn right away.
If you land on wings, you can fly to any nest space on the board. Then, pick a token to try to make a match.
The eggshell spaces are lucky wild spaces. This means you can pick any color token from the board that will hopefully match one of your cards.
Landing on a cloud space means you must return to the cloud start space.
The game comes with a game board, a die, four Colleggtible figures, 25 egg cards, 25 egg tokens, a Colleggtible egg, and instructions.
Additional Hatchimals Colleggtibles are sold separately.
For the nest spaces, you don't have to land by exact count. This means that if you're passing over a nest space during your move and it's a nest you need a match for, then just stop on that nest and try to find a match. If you don't want to stop on that particular nest space, then move your full turn.
