To get started, you’ll need to set up the board, sort the links by color, shuffle up the cards face down into a deck, and place three cards face up next to the deck. Each player starts the game with a link in each color. On each turn, you may either play a link or take a link.
Playing a Link: If you play a link that means you can use one of your linking pieces to connect two images on the game board that match two of the face-up character cards displayed. Take the two cards you linked and replace them with new ones from the deck.
Taking a Link: Sometimes you might not have a link you need to play. This is the time to use your turn to take a link from the pile to use on a later turn. If you do so, you’ll then need to discard the card featuring that colored link you chose and replace it.
So, now your probably wondering how you win, right? Well it’s not as simple as you’d think. As you play, your goal is to earn four of a kind of any character card to win—three of a kind if you are playing with four players. The first player to do so, wins the game.
If you are playing with four players, you'll only need to get three of a kind to win.
