LeapStart is an interactive device designed to help kids build key skills, both for school and for life. It's for kids from 2-7 years old with content available for all skill levels. It covers everything from math, reading, and writing to problem solving, critical thinking, communication, and creative expression- all through fun and engaging activities including puzzles and mazes. This is the updated version for 2017, and it's the pink and purple style. How it works is the electronic device has a stylus that unlocks audio content throughout different activity books, of which there is a library of over 25 books - the books are sold separately. Each book includes over 30 activities though we only have a sampler book here. The stylus reads invisible dots on every page of the books, which trigger questions, challenges, songs, and even jokes. The stylus itself has also been redesigned to promote a proper writing grip. Another new addition to the LeapStart are books featuring LeapFrog's acclaimed Learn to Read series. There are also activity books with popular preschool characters like Trolls, PJ Masks, and Paw Patrol. All the activities are replayable, and designed with two levels so that kids can play and learn at the right level, and move up when they're ready. The device has a handle, making it great for travel, and seems very durable.
This is a kid friendly learning system with a lot of options, and we love how it grows with your child from the earliest learning to 1st grade. This offers kids a fun way to learn with content that covers many different learning concepts as well as skill applicable to the 21st Century. It's easy to activate using the attached stylus, though the activity books needed to engage are sold separately. All activities are replayable for kids to play again and again. Each page also has two levels for kids to move up when they're ready.
