Brainy Bucks Real Money ATM Review (Alex Brands)

Brainy Bucks Real Money ATM
What It Is

Keep your money secure and save up for a big toy splurge with the Brainy Bucks Real Money ATM. This is an electronic piggy bank that works like how a real ATM works. But first, you've got to put money inside.

Insert your pretend ATM card into the card slot and enter your PIN number. Then, put your coins in the coin slot, and your dollar bills in the bill slot. With the coins, the bank will automatically detect the value of the coins you put in. With the paper money, you'll need to manually add in the value of your deposit.

To withdraw your money, insert the ATM card into the vault door slot to unlock and open it. Remove the money you want to withdraw, and manually enter in how much money you're taking out.

You can check your balance at any time by pressing the balance button.

Along with the bank, there's a Money Masters activity book to help kids understand more about money, from fun facts and identifying coins and bills to counting money and ways to earn money. There is even a section on budgeting.

Is It Fun?
Piggy banks are a staple in many kids' bedrooms, but we think kids are definitely going to like the realistic ATM machine look of this one. It's more than just a toy that lets kids feel like mom and dad going to the ATM, though. It helps kids keep their allowance money in a safe place, and it introduces kids to the concept of saving their money. With its money activity guide and the help of parents, this toy bank is a good way to introduce kids to math and smart saving and spending strategies.
Who It’s For
The Brainy Bucks Real Money ATM is for ages 5 and up. This takes the traditional piggy bank to a whole other level and introduces kids to the concept of saving money and budgeting.
What To Be Aware Of

This comes with two AA batteries that power the in-store try-me features, so it's recommended that you replace them before you play for best results.

It can be a little difficult to insert the coins, and sometimes the bank doesn't recognize the coin or reads it incorrectly.

Money is not included.

If you lose your pretend ATM card, you can still use the Brainy Bucks Real Working ATM by inserting a library card, playing card, or other small card. Just don't forget your PIN!
