OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

There's a brand new Shibajuku Girl with a style and personality all her own. Meet Miki, part of the second wave of Shibajuku Girls fashion dolls that get fashion inspiration from Japanese culture. Miki joins returning characters Suki, Shizuka, Koe, and Yoko.

Miki is the sports fanatic of the group. She hopes to be in the Olympics one day and travel the world. To fit her sporty personality, the Miki doll wears a black long-sleeved shirt with a cat face and cat ears on it, a cloud-patterned skirt, black knee-high socks with white stripes, and black sneakers. Her blonde hair has light blue streaks in it, and kids can decorate Miki's hair with four hairclips of a broken heart, a ghost, a jeweled dog bone, and jeweled hearts. The hairclips can also be worn in a child's hair.

This 13-inch doll, larger than traditional fashion dolls, is very poseable with a moving head, arms, elbows, wrists, legs, and knees.

Is It Fun?

This doll line is all about fashion, and fashion-forward little girls who are also into sports will like collecting this doll. The hairclips also have a bit of a collectible aspect to them because kids can mix and match all of the Shibajuku Girls hairclips to design different hairstyles for the dolls or change up their own hair look. Along with the fashion doll play, this adds some dress-up and roleplay for girls.

Who It’s For

The Shibajuku Girls Miki doll is for ages 3 and up. While kids will enjoy styling the doll's hair and playing with the doll, we think that the look of the doll might also appeal to older doll collectors who have an interest in Japanese pop culture and the Harajuku style.

What To Be Aware Of

Additional Shibajuku Girls dolls include Suki, sold separately.
