Cars 3 Mack's Mobile Tool Center Review (Just Play)

Cars 3 Mack's Mobile Tool Center
What It Is

In the new Disney/Pixar movie Cars 3, Lightning McQueen has to keep up with the new racecars, and kids can help keep Lightning at tip-top speed with the Disney/Pixar Cars 3 Mack's Mobile Tool Center playset. This looks just like Lightning's friend Mack, and it opens up to reveal a full-service mobile race station, complete with tools and a light-up diagnostic screen.

You can't give Lightning a tune-up without Lightning himself, so this playset comes with a Lightning McQueen vehicle. Drive Lightning up the ramp and onto the working lift. Press the number 95 button, and the interactive light-up screen will show you what needs to be fixed and play character phrases. Use the included wrench, bolts, screwdriver and screws, spare tries, and pressure gauge to pretend to change a tire, check the engine, or fill his gas tank.

Everything fits inside the truck so that you can easily fold it up when playtime is over. Or use the carry handle to pretend to drive around the truck. (Its wheels don't really roll.) There's even a button on the top of the truck that will activate truck and driving sound effects when pressed.

Is It Fun?

Little kids who have always wanted to be on Lightning McQueen's crew will get the chance with this playset. It comes with lots of fun tools that kids can actually use to unscrew the tires or use to pretend to do all sorts of tune-ups. The phrases and sound effects really enhance the imaginative play and help bring a favorite character to life.

Even though this is based on the new Cars 3, we think that any young Cars fan, whether or not they've seen the new movie, will have fun playing with this large playset.

Who It’s For
Disney/Pixar Cars 3 Mack's Mobile Tool Center is for ages 3 and up. Kids who are Cars fans, whether or not they've seen the new movie, will have fun getting Lightning McQueen ready for a race with this playset.
What To Be Aware Of

The toy comes with three AA batteries for the in-store try-me features, so we recommend replacing them before you play for best results.

When folded up, the wheels of the mack truck do not really roll.

When unfolded, the two sides of the playset have overhangs that are not movable. If a child is playing with this on the floor, it can be hard to access and see the hanging tools on each side.
