Nerf N-Strike Modulus Stockshot Review (Hasbro)

Nerf N-Strike Modulus Stockshot
What It Is

If your Nerf battles need an upgrade, try the Nerf N-Strike Modulus Stockshot. This is part of the Nerf Modulus lineup that allows Nerf fans to customize their blasters with lots of mix-and-match blaster parts and accessories. The Stockshot is a four-shot blaster that converts into a stock attachment, giving kids two ways to use this one blaster.

As a blaster on its own, it can hold up to four darts. Handily enough, it comes with four white N-Strike Modulus darts. Load them up, pull down on the handle, and pull the trigger to fire one dart at a time. The darts will even make a whistling sound as they fly through the air.

But if you want to turn it into a stock attachment that can be attached to another Nerf Modulus blaster, sold separately, pull out the front of the blaster to extend it. Just press the button to quickly detach the stock. To convert it back into a blaster, press the button on the side of the Stockshot and push the extension back in.

Is It Fun?

The cool thing about this blaster is that it can be used in two ways. If you don't own any Nerf Modulus blasters, then you can still play with the Stockshot on its own. And on its own, it performs pretty well. The package doesn't say how far these darts are supposed to fly, but when we tested this blaster in a long hallway, the darts flew about 30 feet.

But if you do have other blasters in the Nerf Modulus line, then you'll be able to attach the Stockshot as a way to add extra stability to another blaster. And make that other blaster look really cool. The Modulus line is all about customization, and the Stockshot is just one way that kids can create a blaster of their very own based on what type of Nerf experience they want to have.

Who It’s For

The Nerf N-Strike Modulus Stockshot blaster is for ages 8 and up. Nerf fans who have other Nerf Modulus products will like being able to add this one to their collections for new customization options. But it's also a perfectly fine blaster on its own for kids who are just looking for a new blaster option.

What To Be Aware Of

Additional Nerf Modulus blasters are sold separately.

Do not aim the darts at people's eyes or faces.
