You can defend against hordes of zombies with the Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker Bow. This crossbow-style blaster has a five-dart rotating drum and it comes with five green Nerf Elite darts. Load the darts into the barrel and pull back on the plunger. Take aim, and then press the trigger to fire one dart. The package doesn't say how far the darts are supposed to fly, but when we tested this out in a long hallway, the darts flew 50 feet.
As with other Zombie Strike blasters, this one has a neon green color scheme with bright orange, white, and black accents. And it looks like the barrel and handle have been wrapped up in fabric.
We were really impressed with the distance of these darts (50 feet in a long hallway), and we think that Nerf fans will also appreciate the performance of this crossbow and blaster combo. It also has a cool look that anybody who is a fan of the zombie theme happening in pop culture right now will definitely like.
The Outbreaker Bow, like all of the Nerf Zombie Strike blasters, adds an element of roleplay to Nerf battles, so it will be especially fun for kids (and adults) who are looking to create their own pretend zombie battles. And who doesn't like to pretend they are destroying zombies?
Some assembly is required once you take the blaster out of the box, but it's pretty easy to do. You just have to snap on the bow portion and attach the string.
Do not aim or shoot at the eyes or faces of people and animals.
