Nerf N-Strike Mega Doublebreach Review (Hasbro)

Nerf N-Strike Mega Doublebreach
What It Is

Bring double the blast to your next Nerf battle with the Nerf N-Strike Mega Doublebreach blaster. You can fire two darts in a row with this powerful pump-action blaster. Open the breach door to load the darts, then pull the trigger to fire the darts up to 90 feet.

Opening and closing the door to load the darts primes the blaster so that it's locked and ready to fire. In Single Fire mode, pressing the trigger only fires one dart. You've got to move the slide all the way back and all the way forward, and then pull the trigger again to fire the second dart.

But if you want Slam Fire mode, once you've loaded the darts and primed the blaster, hold down on the trigger when firing and keep moving the slide back and forth to fire both darts rapidly.

The Doublebreach comes with six Nerf N-Strike Mega darts that whistle as they fly through the air. The dart holder accessory that snaps onto the side of the blaster will hold four of the darts.

Is It Fun?

This blaster is supposed to be able to send the darts flying up to 90 feet. We tested the Doublebreach in a long hallway, so we had some limitations, namely walls. We thought the darts left the blaster with a lot of force, though it didn't take much force on our part to launch them, and that if there had been more open space, the darts might have flown farther than the 40 to 50 feet that we were able to get. So keep that in mind before you start blasting.

That said, this blaster looks cool, the larger Nerf Mega darts look cool, and the whistling sound of the darts is cool. This will make kids a powerful force to be reckoned with in a Nerf battle.

Who It’s For
The Nerf N-Strike Mega Doublebreach blaster is for ages 8 and up. Nerf fans who are looking to add some power to their Nerf arsenals will really like the performance of this new blaster. It's easy to use, it launches darts well, and it looks cool, too.
What To Be Aware Of

You have to snap the dart holder accessory onto the side of the blaster, but it's very easy to do. Just make sure you open the packaging all the way to retrieve this accessory and the instructions. Don't throw away the box before you get these items out!

Don't aim the darts at people's eyes or faces.

This blaster is part of the Tactical Rail System.
