What It Is
Percy always likes to be on time with the mail, which means sometimes he has to make deliveries in the dark. With the Thomas & Friends Track Master Percy's Midnight Mail Delivery train set, kids can help Percy drop off and pick up mail as the train engine chugs along the glow-in-the-dark track. The set comes with a motorized Percy engine with glow-in-the-dark wheels and mail details, a cargo car, and two pieces of glow-in-the-dark cargo. Load Percy's cargo car with one piece of cargo. First, Percy must burst through the tunnel on his way up the hill to the Sorting Station. Once Percy reaches the Sorting Station, his special cargo car automatically dumps the shipment down the chute to the Sodor Post Office. As Percy approaches the post office, he'll pass the spooky haystack and cause it to transform. To stop Percy at the post office to pick up more cargo, just flip the stop-track lever, and then flip it back when you're ready to send Percy back on his way to do it all over again. And for even more fun, turn out the lights to watch the track and cargo glow in the dark.
Is It Fun?
This train set is a fun way for preschoolers to play out favorite Thomas & Friends scenes or imagine all-new mail delivery adventures with Percy, whether during the day or at night. Kids will like the built-in “magic” of the fun features that this train set has, such as the automatic dumping action at the Sorting Station and the spooky transforming haystack, which will be really fun to watch as they play. And, of course, watching it all happen in the dark will be really fun, too.
Who It’s For
The Thomas & Friends Track Master Percy's Midnight Mail Delivery is for ages 3–6. This is really going to be fun for preschool fans of Thomas who want to recreate what they see on the show or make up their own train adventures. The glow-in-the-dark feature will be really fun for little kids, too.
What To Be Aware Of
It took us five minutes to put together this track set, and the instructions were easy to follow.
You'll need two AAA batteries for the Percy engine, and the batteries are not included.
For best glow-in-the-dark feature, keep the product five feet away from a light source for 30 seconds before turning out the lights. It also helps if you use the toy in a very dark room, something that TTPM does not have at its office, so the glow-in-the-dark feature in the video review isn't that good.
