What It Is
You'll enjoy cuddling up with these cute stuffed animals, and so will someone else. With Bears for Humanity's Animal Pals, every time you buy one, the company will give one to a child in need. But the products' and company's do-good philosophy don't end there. Each of the stuffed animals is made from 100-percent GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) Certified Organic Material with Global Fair Trade practices. The stuffed animals are made from a 100-percent organic cotton fabric shell and stuffed with a recycled polyester fill. The California-based company also employs at-risk women and mothers from the CalWORKs Welfare to Work program. There are 14 different animals to choose from, including shark, dog, giraffe, dinosaur, monkey, penguin, elephant, lion, cat, eagle, patriotic eagle, panda, turtle, and tiger. Each one, sold separately, has floppy arms and legs, and comes with an animal I.D. card so that kids can name their animal and record the date that they adopted it.
Is It Fun?
You won't know how soft these animals are until you give one a squeeze in person. Their recycled polyester fill is so soft, and that's what stuffed animals are all about. Kids will like collecting and cuddling up with their favorite animals, and taking their stuffed animal friends with them on all sorts of imaginative adventures. The charitable and eco-friendly aspects of the Animal Pals might not resonate with little kids, but parents who are concerned about the materials of their children's toys and who want to introduce their kids to charitable endeavors will like purchasing these toys from a company with a similar philosophy.
Who It’s For
The Animal Pals are for ages 2 and up. They are really soft and cuddly, which will appeal to kids who like playing with and hugging stuffed animals. And with so many animals to choose from, kids can collect the ones they like best. The charitable and eco-friendly aspect of the toys will appeal to like-minded parents and gift-givers who will be the ones purchasing these stuffed animals.
What To Be Aware Of
These stuffed animals are surface-wash only.
Bears for Humanity also makes teddy bears out of the same organic materials and with the same “buy one, give one” program.
