OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The Christmas Trivia Game from Outset Media comes with 220 cards, each featuring questions in five holiday-themed categories (Christmas Carols, Stocking Stuffers, Holiday Traditions, Christmas Movies, and the North Pole). Players will recall those fun holiday movies and the words to Christmas carols, or use their best guess to answer questions about holiday traditions in other countries to score points. Game play is simple: two or more players sit in a circle and take turns asking and answering questions from the cards. The player whose turn it is to answer gets to choose the category. The first player to get two answers correct in each category wins the game. You can keep score using a pen and paper, which are not included.

Is It Fun?

The Christmas Trivia Game includes 220 cards, each featuring questions in five holiday-themed categories, which means there are plenty of cards and questions for repeat play. Game play is easy to pick up and can be played with a friend, or in a large group. We found some of the questions easy and some really difficult but overall, it offers a great way to get players into the holiday spirit. There are also many true or false, and multiple choice questions that make guessing easy. This trivia game would make a great activity for Christmas Eve, Christmas, or at a holiday party.

Who It’s For

The Christmas Trivia Game is for two or more players ages 12 and up. Since it is a Christmas game, it's best for those who celebrate the holiday. There are some questions that a 12 year-old would most likely not know the answer to but if players are alright with catering to different ages, they're sure to find suitable questions for tweens and teens in the deck. There are also plenty of true or false and multiple choice questions that make guessing easy.

What To Be Aware Of

The holiday-themed trivia card game comes with 220 cards, each featuring questions in five holiday-themed categories. Game play is simple with players taking turns asking and answering questions from the cards. The player whose turn it is to answer gets to choose the category. The first player to get two answers correct in each category wins the game. Players will need a pen and paper to keep score, which are not included. The questions range in difficulty but there are plenty of true or false and multiple choice questions that make guessing easy. A smaller card-sized game is also available too, and would make a fun stocking stuffer. While it is a fun game, it will most likely only be played during the Christmas season.
