Advocate ClickTight ARB Review (Britax)
What It Is
Britax has added a new safety feature to its line of high-quality car seats. The Britax Advocate ClickTight ARB is basically the Britax Advocate ClickTight with an added safety feature, the ARB. The ARB is the Anti-Rebound-Bar, which can be used only in the rear-facing mode. The Britax Advocate ClickTight ARB is incredibly easy to install into the car because of the ClickTight feature. This is a heavy convertible car seat and it is not meant to be taken in and out of cars. But in case you have to move this seat from one car to another, it's super easy. Simply thread the seatbelt of your car through the guided path under the seat. Push the seat down to hear a "click," and that's it, you have a secure install in your car.
Why Is It Useful?
The ARB is a bar that pushes up against the seat of the car to help minimize movement in case of impact. We've seen this ARB on other car seats and love seeing it on the Britax. This is for use in rear-facing mode only. In addition to this added safety feature, the is a comfortable, convertible car seat for your child that stays with you from five pounds up to 65 pounds. A 14-point adjust keeps up with your child as they grow, and, of course, Britax's SafeCell Impact Protection features three layers of protection and gives your child safety and comfort.
Who It’s For
Britax has thought of everything in this car seat that includes the click-and-safe snug harness that takes the guesswork out of knowing how snug your child's harness should be. The seat itself is comfortable with head support and a deep, snug fit. The Britax Advocate ClickTight ARB is for infants and toddlers from five to 40 pounds in the rear-facing mode only. However, the seat can be used from 20 to 65 pounds in the forward-facing mode without the ARB feature.
What To Be Aware Of
Overall, this is a great car seat that not only keeps comfort and safety in mind, but it's incredibly easy to install in your car. The Advocate ClickTight ARB is available in various colors and prints, features a 14-point adjust system, and offers Britax's SafeCell Impact Protection. The ARB is to be used in rear-facing mode only.
