Advent Calendar Dress Up Party Review (Playmobil)

Advent Calendar Dress Up Party
What It Is

Part of the 2016 line of Playmobil Advent Calendars, the Dress Up Partyfeaturesa myriad of different accessories and Playmobil City figures that create a fashion store playset that you build yourself over the course of the first 24 days of December. Each day your child opens up one of the slots to reveal a new item until the set is finally complete on Christmas Eve. When the big day arrives, they can finally put it all together and use their imaginations for some fabulous fun.

Is It Fun?
The advent calendar features a unique backdrop that fits the theme of the 24 day set. The Dress Up Party, for example, gives a detailed, standing scene of a busy fashion store, complete with a fitting room and dress adorned display racks. After the set is fully built and each daily box is opened, young girls will create some afternoon adventures centered around the two Playmobil figures picking out dresses for a busy holiday season (example: choosing a dress for a big Christmas dinner or a winter wedding).
Who It’s For
The Dress Up Party Advent Calendar helps teach little girls, ages 5 and up, a bit of patience as they wait for a new door to open each day. This will add up to a full playset at the end of the 24-day period. It might seem tough at first, but rest assured, once they get into the habit of waiting, they'll look forward to each day and the surprises it brings in no time.
What To Be Aware Of

Make sure to get these early in the holiday season because Playmobil's Advent Calendars consistently sell out. This set includes backdrop, two figures, clothing racks, interchangeable dresses and skirts, vanity table with mirror, hats, presents, mannequins, full-length mirror, privacy screen, and lots of other accessories. Each of the 11.5 x 15.5 inch calendars has a fold-up piece on the back so it can be hung on a wall or wherever's appropriate. Before giving these to a child you will want to remove the outer sleeve because it shows the surprises of each day. That's great for when you're shopping, but once given to your child, you don't want to give it all away, right?
