Sky Viper V2400 HD Streaming Video Drone Review (Skyrocket Toys)

Sky Viper V2400 HD Streaming Video Drone
What It Is

Video drone flight that soars over the competition. The Sky Viper V2400 HD Streaming Video Drone from Skyrocket Toys has an older brother in the V950HD that came out about a year ago, and we're very impressed with how far this drone has come in such a short time. You'll notice that the remote control looks like an Xbox controller with a slight addition, a place to hold your smartphone. This is so you can watch it once you download the Sky Viper app. Controls are much easier with Auto Launch, Auto Hover, and Auto Land modes powered by the same button. The V2400 is a small, sleek drone that features in-app streaming in 720p and a small, high-quality camera that you don't have to detach to do stunts.

Is It Fun?
No more struggling to achieve a steady hover and no more guessing at what the camera is seeing because now you can watch it live on the free Sky Viper app. It also records to a Micro SD card, so you can load it into other devices and watch your videos wherever you go, and even edit them. We're glad the Sky Viper still kept the sensitivity feature intact so that flight becomes more advanced as you become more experienced. Let's not forget those stunts. On the old model you had to remove the camera to perform the flips and barrel rolls that this drone does in-flight, and even while shooting video. All in all a pretty good trip down memory lane and a welcome addition to the Sky Viper fleet.
Who It’s For
The Sky Viper V2400 is recommended for kids over 12. As it flies across the sky, teens, tweens, and young adults will love seeing what the drone sees as it does barrel rolls, flips, and dives. As drones continue to evolve, we can't wait to see what happens next.
What To Be Aware Of
The Sky Viper V2400 HD Streaming Drone is powered by an onboard rechargeable battery, but the remote is powered by three AAA batteries. The video drone includes an onboard rechargeable battery, a controller where you can attach your smartphone to watch the drone fly via the Sky Viper app, and a Micro SD card to save your recordings.
