5 Second Rule Uncensored Review (PlayMonster)

5 Second Rule Uncensored
What It Is

If you're an older fan of the fast-paced 5 Second Rule game, then you might like the newest version: 5 Second Rule Uncensored. The gameplay is the same in that you have to name three things in a given category before time runs out, but some of the categories are a little inappropriate.

The game comes with 150 double-sided cards and a Twisted Timer, which runs about 5 seconds, hence the name of the game. You'll need at least three people to start playing the game. One player reads the category on a card, and the first player in the “hot seat” must name three things that fit that category before the balls get to the bottom of the timer in order to win that card and score a point. Categories include “Uses for a bathtub”, “Places to throw a party”, and “Conspiracies”. Plus, there are a few categories that are just so inappropriate, we're not even going to tell you what they are in this review!

If the player can only name one or two things in five seconds, he scores no points, and the next player has five seconds to name three different things in that same category. You can't use any answer previously given. Play continues around the circle until one player finally names three things in five seconds and scores a point. If play gets back to the original player without anyone naming three things in five seconds, then the original player scores one point by default.

Keep playing the game with one person reading a card and one person trying to name three things until you've played a pre-determined number of rounds. Once done, count up your points. The player with the most points wins.

Is It Fun?
This is a fun new update to the original quick-thinking 5 Second Rule game. Just like in the original game, you have to think fast and just say whatever comes to mind no matter how silly, crazy, or offensive it sounds. Hearing people's answers is actually part of what makes playing this game so much fun! For that reason, it's going to be more fun if you play this game with people who aren't easily offended.
Who It’s For
5 Second Rule Uncensored is for three or more players ages 18 and up. We must stress the 18 and up age rule. There is a parental advisory on the game box for a reason. The content on the cards is no appropriate for young kids to play, but gamers over 18 will find this game funny and fun to play. It's going to be more fun if you play with people who aren't easily offended, so just keep that in mind when inviting friends over for a game night at which this game is played.
What To Be Aware Of
The original 5 Second Rule game is for ages 10 and up, and there is also a junior version of the game for ages 6 and up. Both of those games are sold separately.
