OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is
Last year's baby and toddler dancing craze was all about Fisher-Price's BeatBo, a mini toy robot that danced and lit up. But this year, BeatBo is adding to his dance crew with the Bright Beats Dance & Move BeatBowWow. This toy dog lights up with more than 25 songs, tunes, and phrases that are all about counting, colors, and opposites. The dog has a plastic body with fabric ears and a fabric tail. There are two ways for kids to play by pressing one of two buttons on the dog's feet. Press the Learn button to hear songs and phrases about numbers and counting, as well as songs and phrases that encourage kids to get moving. BeatBowWow might ask kids for a high-five or tell them to “shake it out!” Press the Music button to hear phrases (“That song makes me howl at the moon!” or “Shaking my ears!”) and dance with BeatBowWow. In either mode, as BeatBowWow sings and talks, his tummy will light up, his head will move, his tail will wag, and his wears will wiggle.
Is It Fun?

Just like the original BeatBo, BeatBowWow is a cute character that is sure to get babies and preschoolers moving and learning. Little kids are going to like watching BeatBowWow light up and move, which will encourage them to get up and dance along with the dog. And the big buttons on the dog's feet are easy for small hands to push, so they can keep dancing with BeatBowWow over and over again. Plus, through the moving-and-grooving play, kids are working their gross motor skills.

Who It’s For
The Bright Beats Dance & Move BeatBowWow is for ages 9 months–36 months. The play is designed to get babies and preschoolers moving and learning at the same time. The colorful lights in BeatWowWow's tummy and the fun movements of the dog will keep kids engaged and playing with this cute toy.
