Inspired by Disney/Pixar's Finding Dory, the Swimming Marlin from Zuru features a realistic tail fin motion so she appears to swim just like a real fish. If you're familiar with Robo Fish, Marlin works the same way. When Marlin is placed in water, a simple-to-use, water-activated swimming mechanism automatically turns on, which causes the neurotic clown fish to swim.
Marlin won't keep going until his battery runs out thanks to a "power save" mode, which activates after he's been swimming for one minute. This will completely stop his swimming until you remove Marlin, dry him off, and put him back in the water. Another way to cease Marlin's fishy antics is by simply removing the orange clown fish from water and drying him off with a soft cloth or towel.
Like Dory, Marlin comes with three button cell batteries, and also includes three extra batteries. Marlin will swim undisturbed for one minute before going into "power save" mode, which stops his realistic tail fin motion until he's removed and placed back in water. Other Finding Dory characters like Swimming Nemo, Swimming Dory, and Swimming Bailey are also available and sold separately. All Finding Dory Swimming Fish are fitted with technology similar to Robo Fish in order to move their tail fins back and forth like a real fish. Each fin-powered swimming toy is fun on its own, or as part of a collection.
