Finding Dory Swimming Dory Review (Zuru)

Finding Dory Swimming Dory
What It Is

Inspired by Disney/Pixar's Finding Dory, comes the electronic Swimming Dory from Zuru, who features realistic tail fin motion so she appears to swim just like a real fish. The swimming Dory works in the same way as Robo Fish, which some kids may be familiar with. A simple-to-use water-activated swimming mechanism automatically turns on when Dory is placed in water, causing her to swim.

A "power save" mode prevents Dory from swimming until her battery runs out. When Dory swims for a minute straight, the mode will engage, automatically stopping her swimming until you remove her and put her back in the water. Another way to stop Dory from swimming is by simply removing the blue tang from water and drying her off with a soft cloth.

Is It Fun?
Finding Dory fans will enjoy watching Dory swim in the bath or pool. The coolest part is how she mimics the movements of real, live fish. Don't believe us? Put Dory in your fish tank and watch her go from stationary to flailing her plastic tail in no time. When children place Dory in water, it will engage their imagination as they recreate scenes from the movie or come up with new stories and adventures for this friendly, yet forgetful fish.
Who It’s For
Recommended for ages 3 and up, Swimming Dory captures the imagination of children as her realistic fin patterns cause her to move like the real thing. This will create imaginative play for them when they submerge Dory and further their creative minds if they have other Finding Dory characters from the set like Marlin or Bailey.
What To Be Aware Of

Dory comes loaded with three button cell batteries, and also includes three extra batteries for added convenience. Dory will swim for a minute before engaging her "power save" mode, which stops her motion until removed and placed back in water. Other Finding Dory characters like Swimming Nemo, Swimming Marlin, and Swimming Bailey are also available and sold separately. All Finding Dory Swimming Fish are fitted with technology similar to Robo Fish in order to move her tail fin back and forth like a real fish. Each fin-powered swimming toy is fun on its own, or as part of a collection.
