LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man Doc Ock's Tentacle Trap Review (LEGO)

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man Doc Ock's Tentacle Trap
What It Is

Doc Ock has taken evil to the water with the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man: Doc Ock's Tentacle Trap construction set. This 446-piece set, model number 76059, lets kids build a weaponized Octo-Bot with two six-shooting rapid shooters, a rotating torso, poseable legs, and poseable and detachable tentacles that attach to the back of the Doc Ock minifigure.

Kids will also build a red, white, and blue police speedboat with stud shooter and attachment point for the web rope so Spider-Man can speed along behind on his surfboard.

Along with minifigures of Doc Ock and Spider-Man, the set also comes with Vulture, Captain Stacy, and White Tiger minifigures. Doc Ock and Captain Stacy have two facial expressions. Just turn their heads around to go from one expression to the other.

This set also comes with a variety of accessories, including White Tiger's power element and Spider-Man's webblast. And a comic book is also included that will serve as a story-starter for the play with this construction set.

Is It Fun?
This is a pretty cool superhero construction set that lets kids play out all sorts of good versus evil battles. LEGO and Spider-Man fans will appreciate the details in this set, from the moving parts on the Octo-Bot all the way to the accessories with Spider-Man's web-themed surfboard. Kids will have a lot of fun creating all sorts of action-packed battles, using the comic book as inspiration but ultimately turning to their own imaginations to tell lots of different Spidey stories.
