Go! Go! Smart Friends Enchanted Princess Palace Review (VTech)

Go! Go! Smart Friends Enchanted Princess Palace
What It Is

Travel to a world of princesses and fairies with the new Go! Go! Smart Friends theme, which includes the Enchanted Princess Palace playset. At four feet wide, this playset has lots of space for kids to play. Explore the ballroom, music room, kitchen, parlor, and observation tower with the included MagicPoint character, Princess Darla. When placed on the MagicPoints locations in the dressing room, observation tower, kitchen, and MagicChat Tea Set, Darla will activate fun phrases, sounds, and songs specific to which room she's in. If another MagicPoint character, sold separately, is placed on one of the two Tea Set MagicPoint locations along with Darla, the two characters will talk and sing together.

On its own, Darla will introduce herself, talk about the things she likes to do, and sing three songs whenever kids press Darla's light-up button.

And the palace itself has several features separate from Darla. Kids can play with the electronic clock tower in two modes. In Learning Fun mode, press the three light-up buttons to hear about colors, objects, letters, counting, and more. Or turn the clock hands for more phrases. And in Music mode, pressing the buttons or turning the clock hands will activate melodies and songs.

The palace also has a spinning wheel that opens and closes the gates, a spinning chandelier, a spinning dance floor with pretend water fountain, a swing, an elevator, and three accessories: a harp, a dresser with mirror, and a bed.

And the playset can be folded up for easy and more compact storage.

Is It Fun?
There is so much on this playset for little kids to explore and play with. The interaction between Princess Darla and the palace is really cool and enhances the imaginative play. Plus, you get the play with the clock tower that is a fun way to introduce kids to colors, letters, and more. But even without all the electronic features, kids will really enjoy using this as a basic dollhouse for lots of royal roleplay.
Who It’s For
The Go! Go! Smart Friends Enchanted Princess Palace is for ages 1.5–5. Little kids who like princesses will like the interactive play they get from this playset. But even without the electronic features, this will be a fun princess dollhouse to inspire lots of imaginative play.
What To Be Aware Of

Adult assembly is required, and it took us 30 minutes to do.

The palace requires two AA batteries, which are not included. The MagicPoint character comes with two AAA batteries for the in-store try-me features. VTech recommends replacing them before you play for best results.

This is compatible with other Go! Go! Smart Friends playsets and characters, sold separately.
