Tapple 10 Review (USAopoly)

Tapple 10
What It Is

If you're tired of playing the same word game over and over again, then try one of the 10 different games with Tapple 10. This compact, on-the-go word game can be played in 10 ways. It comes with 80 double-sided cards (letters on one side and categories on the other), a sand timer, instructions, and a travel case. The basic game, Tapple 10 Alpha, is to flip over a card to reveal a letter and match the letter's color to the same-colored category on another card. All players race to name a word that starts with the letter and fits within the category. The first player to correctly answer wins the card. Flip over another card to start a new round. The first player to collect 10 cards wins.

In Rake 'Em In, players take turns flipping cards and calling out as many words as they can before time runs out.

In Four in a Row, players take turns naming four words that start with the same letter but that fit four different categories. This is a timed game.

In Down the Line, one player starts the timer, flips over a card, and must shout out a correct answer to the corresponding category. Once done, that player flips over the card and the timer, and the next player's turn begins with a new letter color combination.

Head to Head is a two-player challenge where players take turns answering, collecting, and flipping cards until times runs out.

Scramble is another two-player game where players flip over a letter and simultaneously shout out correct answers to any of the category cards scattered on the table, grabbing those cards as they answer.

Alpha Build has multiple players building words with the letter cards. The last player able to make a word wins.

In Countdown, players simultaneously race to get rid of the top letter card in their stack by shouting out a corresponding answer to the matching category on the top card of the discard pile.

In Last Man Standing, one player shouts out a word that starts with a letter and corresponds to a given category. Then, the next player must think of a new word that starts with the same letter and fits in the same category. If you can't think of an answer, you're out for the round.

And in Under Pressure, reveal a letter but ignore its color. Shout out a correct answer to all four categories before time runs out in order to collect the card.
