OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is
Hot Wheels track sets have gone on your floor, on your wall, and now they can go in your bathtub with new Hot Wheels Splash Rides. These sets come with special floating Hot Wheels cars that can drive on track and on water. The Splashdown Station set attaches to your tub wall using suction cups. When you're ready to play, fill the water cannon squirter with water, attach it to the top of the playset's track, and load the car. Squirt the water to launch the car down the track. Then use the water cannon squirter or the included boat to fill the bucket on the other side of the track with water, causing it to tip over and send the car diving off the track and into the water.
Is It Fun?
This brings action-packed fun to bathtime for young Hot Wheels fans. Kids will like performing the stunt feature over and over, and adding more Splash Rides cars, sold separately, for lots of water races.
Who It’s For
The Hot Wheels Splash Rides Splashdown Station is for Hot Wheels fans ages 4 and up.
What To Be Aware Of

Adult assembly is required, and it took us only five minutes to do. Just make sure that when you attach the playset to the tub wall that the track is horizontal and level with the bathtub. You also want to make sure the toy is at an appropriate height so that a child can sit and play with it. You don't want your child to be standing in the tub to play. Also, Mattel says the suction cups work best on flat tile surfaces. The bathtub we tested ours on did not have tiles that were flat, and so it was difficult to keep the playset from slipping and falling off the wall. It also didn't stay on very well when stuck to the actual tub, which was kind of frustrating.

Additional Splash Rides cars are sold separately.
